Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My baby's father has a class A & B misdemeanor for DWI in the state of Texas. He will still be on probation when she is born, I feel as if she will not be safe with him due to this incident and from things I've seen myself. How will this affect his custody?

I would make an appointment and talk to an experienced family law attorney in your county. You would feel better and quit worrying about it. You need to focus on staying calm and keeping healthy for your pregnancy.

I would not add his name to the birth certificate when the baby is born.

Let him hire an attorney and ask for DNA testing and file for paternity in court to seek his parental rights.

Please talk to a family law attorney about parental rights, DNA testing, birth certificates, and custody before the baby is born.

Happy pregnancy.
