Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Babysitting

During my custody time, if I use a babysitter or ask a friend to watch my kids (not overnight), am I required to give my ex this information? She says I have to. I believe that while the kids are in my custody, I have the right to make decisions about their care without consulting her.

Re: Babysitting

Unless your decree says something specific otherwise, in general you have no duty to report your actions and decisions to her. When the children are with you, you get to make these type of decisions and are responsible for the childrens' welfare. She has the same rights and duties and no duty to report to you when the children are with her.
