Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have been caregiver for 3 years for my mother she is 79 and has Alzheimers, without any help from siblings.I have POA as well as medical POA for my mom. I am the youngest of 9 children and my oldest sister came to visit us, she asked to take mom to Florida for 4 weeks to see my oldest brother he has been ill and that she and her daughter would bring mom back. The 4 weeks have come and gone and now my sister is dodging my calls I call my brother or niece and they are making excuses that her phone is not working etc etc, what should be my next step? Please help!!

You can file for a guardianship of your mother, but you need to hurry up. Perhaps they have already filed for one in FL--you don't know.

File for one up here. Show that you have her POA and medical POA, that you've been taking good care of her, that you are able to continue taking good care of her (her and her estate) and you will probably prevail.

But you need to get on it. Your siblings are obviously up to something. Don't give them the gift of any more time!!

Good luck!!
