change in custody

My step-daughter wants to come and live with her father, brother and myself. She is 14, to be 15 in June. There is nothing in the divorce decree that says anything about this. Isn't there a certain age in Tx when the child can decide?

At her age, she can file a notice to the court, advising who she wishes to be primary conservator. This is filed in conjunction with a Motion to Modify. It does not mean that the court will rule in her favor, but it does carry some weight with the court.
