Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

How Do I Change Visitation?

In my divorce decree, visitation is set for every other weekend.

I want this modified to the visitation schedule in Texas.

So in short, I am trying to allow my ex-husband more time with the kids.

I understand that hiring a lawyer would be best but I do not have the money to hire one.

I am looking for the form that I will need to submit the change for visitation.

Thank you for your help!

Re: How Do I Change Visitation?

There is not a form per se. It sounds as if your decree might have originated from another state. Before you can modify a foreign decree in a Texas court, you will have to properly register it in Texas.

You can research this process at the courthouse law library or you can continue looking for a lawyer that you can afford/will work on a payment plan with you. Good luck.
