Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child Custody

In my divorce me and my ex were joint managing conservators. I went back to court and they removed us as joint and made me Sole Managing Conservator of our daughter. That was in 1997. She is now 13 and decided to live with her dad. I just received a citation to reply in writing also he requests that the court make orders for the support of her. I am married, have three other children and I am a housewife. We can't even afford health insurance for our three children. I don't know what to do.

Thanks for your help. Andrea

Re: Child Custody

You will be ordered to pay minimum wage child support reduced from 20% to the % for a person with 3 other kids.

You will also be responsible for paying for or maintaining health insurance on the kid.

You desperately need an attorney. Check around and find one you can afford. Greensheets list a lot of attorneys of various experience levels.
