Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child support amount change

I am a college student and my child support was set at a rate I cannot afford at this time. I need to have it lowered to where I just pay for the insurance and pick up with the monetary pmts after graduation. Is that possible?

Re: child support amount change

NO, it may be possible to have your payments lowered depending on what rate of wages were used when the child support was originally set. You need to also know that if you get to far behind you could be facing a Motion for Enforcement, and contempt if you get too far behind.
