In a divorce, when the child is 18 and is enrolled in college, is the other party liable to pay child support?

Re: child support

You need to read the last document the Judge signed in your case.

If you contractually agreed to pay child support after the child turned 18, then you can be sued under contract law.

Generally speaking, Texas does not order child support after a child graduates from high school or turns 18 whichever is later.

However, if the child is permanently disabled either physically or mentally, the child support can be ordered to continue the rest of the child's life.

I hope this helps.
