Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child Support Lien

My ex-husband owes me about $14000 in back child support. He has been injured in an auto accident. His attorneys told him not to work pending outcome of lawsuit regarding accident. What are the correct procedures for placing a lien on this pending lawsuit. Would this be something I could do myself or would it be best advised that an attorney handle? If an attorney would handle what would a fair retainer fee be?

Re: Child Support Lien

The legal procedures for this would best be handled by you for an attorney. I would do this for you on a contingency basis for 25% of any recovery on your behalf from your ex-husband's financial recovery.
