Children leaving home at 17 in tx

My son wants to move out and be on his own, He has a job and does not want to live at home what are the laws on him leaving home to live some where else? P

He is not a runaway at 17. However, at 17 he is not legally bound by contracts, so will be unable to sign an apartment lease. If there is a custody order, then the conservatorship provisions will prevent him from moving out. If both parents want to cooperate with a petition for emancipation, then he would be treated as an adult.
