Common Law Marriage in Texas

Is Texas a state that permits a secret wedding ceremony to be performed by a judge, with a backdated order of marriage, such that the marriage becomes legal from the date of inception so that the rights of the participants are protected?

I doubt that I truly understand your question, or how it is connected to the title of the question.

It is not legal for a judge to backdate a marriage certificate.

Not sure what you mean by secret -- the issuance of the license is a public record by the county clerk.
