Custody issues without orders
I have two boys that live with me. My ex is trying to take them out of school for 4 day to go Las Vegas with her new boyfriend. They have already missed 5 days from her taking them out and from being ill. There are no temporary custody orders yet due to no court date set. Do I have any rights to prevent her from taking them? I must say that one of the boys has started having problems at school.

If you have possession, then you have the say-so, at least pending temporary orders. You're the parent here. It's your job to do what is best for the kids. Sometimes Vegas is good for kids -- sometimes it isn't.
