Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Deposition

I am in a custody battle with my ex, this has been ongoing for six months my lawyer just recently quit and I have a deposition set for five days from now. What can I do? I wont have enough money for another lawyer for two weeks! The custody trail was set for the end of next month! I am in a panic state because I feel I will get murdered at this deposition with out a lawyer? I am running out of money too!

Why and when did your lawyer quit? You might be able to retain an attorney on a payment plan. The attorney may be able to postpone the depo long enough for you to pay a reasonable amount towards the retainer. Don't give up.
