Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Division of Property

My husband and I have been married almost two years. He bought house in his name shortly before we got married. In the last few months he has started drinking heavily and become both verbally and physically abusive and I want out of the marriage before I get hurt. He also has--name removed--retirement plan and we have bought furniture together, but it was all in his name. Is this considered separate or community property? Do you think this was all put in his name so that I wouldn't be able to get anything? We don't have any children so that shouldn't be--name removed--problem. Please help me.
