Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

During my divorce the judge said my X was to pay me 6500$. He decided since for the last year I had lived with my daughter I was responsible for half his expense therefore saying instead of 6500 he owed me like 3000. Is this even legal?? Also question I have is I understood in Texas you must wait 30 days after divorce final to get married he did this on day 2 of final decree of divorce IS THIS LEGAL?

What does the divorce decree say? How much does it say your X has to pay? A Judge has the authority to divide community property pretty much any way he wants to, including ordering one party to pay money to the other. In other words, yes, this is legal.

Yes, there is a requirement that one wait 30 days after a divorce is final before one gets remarried. The only exception to this is if you have a provision in the decree that says otherwise it can say that the prohibition against remarriage is waived. Is there some special reason that you object to your X getting remarried so quickly?
