Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

my divorce was on june 17, 2010, in the decree it states that i need to be moved out of the home within 10days, problem is i cannot not move into my new place until the first of the month. My ex will not be co-operative with this.

if i stay the three extra days, will i be held in contempt of cour t(and thrown in jail immediately) or will it be a matter of him starting the proceedings of eviction? i live in texas

You'll be able to get away with three extra days.

Your ex's remedies are to file a forcible entry and detainer (in the Justice Court) or to file a motion for contempt (in the District Court).
