Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Divorce - Purchasing a Home

I own a 27 acre ranch and home and I am in the process of getting a divorce. My attorney is taking a long time in getting the paperwork started and presented to my wife. I have been living with relatives in another city. I know I will have to pay chid support and make the payments on the present house but can I purchase another home to live in or will she be able to lay a claim on this additional property?

Ask your attorney. If you don't feel comfortable doing so, its time to get a new one.
