Yes, unless you don't care that a default judgment will be taken against you. You must file an answer containing a general denial or any affirmative defense you plan to use before the Monday next after the expiration of 20 days from the date you were served. Retain an attorney to do this. If you must do it yourself, go to your nearest law library and get help formatting the answer with the correct language. I've seen people write letters of explanation as answers - this generally won't do. Good luck.
