How do I get a divorce if I don't know where my spouse lives. We have not lived in the same house since 1987.

Do you know where anyone in his family lives? Would they know where he is? You have to give him notice of the lawsuit. The cheapest way is to serve him with a copy of the lawsuit. If you can't do that personally or through one of his family, you will have to publish notice in the newspaper - which is more expensive ($300-$400 around here). You cannot get a legal divorce without serving him personally or by publication.
