Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Father's rights

How soon can you terminate a father's rights? I have found out I am pregnant and he isn't interested or supportive in any way. He says '' he is stuck for 18 years now'' we are not together and he is very degrading when we do talk. Just want to know what options I may have.

Re: Father's rights

I'm sorry he is degrading to you. Don't terminate his rights. Let him pay for this situation. He's right. The obligation to pay is 18 years, but if he doesn't want to be part of his child's life, he is a first class loser. Stay away from him. Find a smarter, better class of companion.
