Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I need to file a motion for continueance in a divorce case where do I get the form. Court says they don't have them. trying to help my cousin out because he does not have the money for a lawyer right now.

If you prepare and/or file that motion for your cousin, you will be practicing law without a license, which is a felony. If he can't afford a lawyer, he needs to take care of the matter himself.

There's a website that I think is www.texaslawhelp.org which tour cousin might find helpful. Actually, I'd probably just do an Internet search for "motion for continuance form" and see what turns up. There is no specific form that's required. The only specific thing I can think of that you absolutely need is a certificate of conference, confirming you've talked or at least tried to talk to the other side about your motion and stating what their response if any was. He can look that up too. Also, there may be forms in his local county law library ghat might be helpful.
