Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Filing An Answer For Divorce

What if when I filed an answer with the

court and sent a copy certified mail to both

my ex and his lawyer BUT my ex refused

the certified mail. Does that hurt him on his

part and/or does that effect me in the

divorce case.

Re: Filing An Answer For Divorce

Based on what you have written, generally you have provided notice of your answer to his attorney and therefore potentially given him a copy of your answer. Generally, his refusal to accept the answer will not effect you in the divorce proceeding. You should consult with a local family law firm to assist you with your case. If my local family law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact us at [email protected] to arrange for a consultation.
