Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am in fort bend county tx, and I filed for divorce. My husband has not filed a response. How do I go about filing a nonsuit? Since he has not filed anything do I have to get his signature? I called the district clerk and they said that I just have to wait it out for a year and nothing can be filed. Is this true?

You can file a motion for nonsuit, and put in a proposed order with it. You don't have to wait for anything.
