Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My best friends wife was recently killed in a car accident. She left behind her 2 babies. Her and the 2 babies have been with us 3 and 5 years old have been with us for 3 years. We have financially, emotionally, physically supported these kids like they were ours. After her death, the estranged father, which the babies don't even know, and has a terrible history with drug abuse, took them from us, and wont let us see or talk to them. Do we have rights as some type of conservatoire?

The mothers entire family is in our corner, and wants us to raise these children. The living conditions are deplorable, he does not work, and lives with his parents, and relies on his mothers disability to survive.

Go see a family law attorney and talk to an attorney in person about the actual details of your case. If it has been less than 6 months since he took the children you can file for conservatorship.

Good luck. God bless you. I hope that you acted quickly enough. Time is of the essence - don't wait!

I recommend Attorney Patricia Bushman at 713-807-9405. Tell her that I sent you. Call her pronto!
