my son is autistic. i have been told that . when he reaches his 18th birthday. he will be his own guardian. my son can not get around on his own. he has to have me bathe dress and get his to all his appoints and to events. he does not undrestand that when one walks out in frony of a car it will hit you. he is

You can petition the court to be appointed guardian of your child's person and estate. This is a fairly expedient process and could be completed with 40-45 days.
