Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Hi,

I've been married to my husband for a year.I want to know how do I divorce my husband without him being there.I dont know where he is,I havent seen him in months and the last time I saw him he assaulted me since that day I've never seen him.We dont have kids nothing ties me to him accept the fact that we are married.I want to know how do I go about divorcing him.

You file for divorce, and serve him by publication. He doesn't have to be present for you to get a divorce, and you don't have to get his signature on anything.
