Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I hired a lawyer, and paid him, he never stayed in touch or kept me posted for over 6 years, when we finally went to court, I (the plantiff) lost and had a judgment put against me for 4 K dollars. WHY? becuz my lawyer never filed the INTERAGATORIES, so he had to dismiss my case, and I had to pay the defendants lawyers fees. ALL BECUZ he never filed the paperwork. He still does nothing to this day, He did pay for half of the judgment. I want to file a grievance and get all my money back.

You must prove that the lawyer acted negligently and that if he had not acted negligently you would have won your case or not had as bad an outcome. If you can do that, then you should be able to get a judgment for money damages against your former attorney.
