Everything (good and bad) that you have acquired since marriage (generally speaking) is community property. If something was inherited or a gift, it is NOT.

You need to sit down in person with an attorney and discuss your situation.

By the way, he cannot kick you out of the house. Only a judge can "remove" you. (I only mention this because often one spouse will tell the other one to "get out" but it is legally not allowed to "kick" a spouse out! But if you feel that your life is in danger then use your common sense!)

Also, each of you are both responsible for each other's "necessities" - such as food, clothing, medical and shelter.

I would suggest marriage counseling before you head for divorce.

Look on this website and www.avvo.com for an attorney. Many will offer a free consultation and payment plans.

Good luck.
