Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Need to leave abusive husband

I have been married with this person since 1999 but lived together since 19989. He had bought the house we live in just three months prior I moved in with him. We started everything together! we bought everything together! I worked ever since he met me. My salary as well as my children's child support went to pay bills and buy groceries. When things started getting bad (right after we got married) and he got abusive he told me many times to get out of his house!!! He hit me in front of my daughter and traumatizer to the point of her not want to live with us anymore. She asked the school to call her Dad to pick her up because she was afraid to go back home. She told them how he hit me and how he terrorized her. ( I was in the Hospital)

When I got out of the Hospital, and he promesed that things were going to change, I was back at home with him... and things did not change except that I lost my daughter and my son... He hit me many times more after that and the verbal abuse was there everyday...

If I hire an attorney can they take the fees from him?

If you hire an attorney to file a divorce for you you can request that your husband pay all court costs and attorney fees. Based on your question, most judges would be inclined to award you costs and fees. I charge a small deposit plus all fees before I start a case.I also require that my client agree to pay my full fee if it is not awarded in court. I do give free phone consultations. If you livew in Dallas Fort Worth area and would like to discuss yor case you can call 817 261-2671.
