Legal Aid

If my spouse is represented by Legal Aid can I also ask for help from Legal Aid?

Generally not. The ethical rules prohibit lawyers in the same law firm from representing persons with conflicting interests - the rules assume that Legal Aid is a law firm so they will decline representation. However, there may be other organizations that may provide pro bono or reduced fee representation. You should inquire concerning whether there are other alternatives.
