Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am a military member.

My home is in dallas, Texas and so is my fiance.

I am currently in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo for tech school training. I want to get married with my fiance ASAP.

1. For marriage licence, can I just send my paperwork to my fiance or vice versa to get it? Or do we both have to be "present" in the "same court"?

2. If #1 answer is that we need to be in the "same court", then if my fiance travels to where I am, can we get married and everything taken care of in one day?

3. I saw there is a 3 day wait in order to proceed to marrige ceremony after we obtain the marrige cerrificate for Missouri. Can we get a waiver for that? My fiance needs to go back to her home in 1 or 2 days.

She can apply in Texas for you. You sound like a smart person so I'm going to tell you the sections of the Texas Family Code to reference: 2.006 and 2.007.

The county clerk may have the forms she needs.

Good luck!!
