Minor child wants to petition court

How does a minor child petition the court to remain in a house that her father say he purchased for her to remain in until she completes high school even told her it was her house but now wants to make her move. Can she petition the courts to remain there or does her mother have to do it.

Generally minor children cannot file suits or petition courts on their own. Her mother would be able to file suit on her behalf as "next friend."
