Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Non Biological Father But Father Listed On Birth Cert.

i am being sued for divorce and to prove that my daughter is not mine. I met my soon to be exwife when she was 6 months preg. we married and 11 days later my daughter was born. Now we are seperated and my soon to be exwife wants to remove me from the childs life because i refused to give my daughte back to her untill she cleaned the house where my daughter was staying and everyone living there provided me with a Medical reort saying they were free from lice and scabies. my daughter came to me with lice ( going on 6 months) and this time she also had scavies. They filed a restraing order against me and sued me for divorce and dna testing, the officer took my daughter from me. I have to be in court on the 8th of aug. and i have no funds for lawyer, can they take my daughter from me and say she is not mine even when the state of texas has my name on the birth certificate? what can i do? please help ASAP...Thank You

Re: Non Biological Father But Father Listed On Birth Cert.

1. Contact the TX Bar Association for a list of pro bono attorneys who may take your case;

2. Contact the Legal Services Corp [Legal Aid] to see if you qualify for their representation.

You will be required to get a DNA blood test which is 99.9% certain and the results of that test will determine the outcome of the divorce and the answers to your questions.

You need competent legal representation, as you have a lot of years of child support at stake.
