Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

paternity issues

The question I have is in regards to finding out how to get legal transcripts of dismissed court cases and what legal rights are of a father trying to find out paternity if the mother does not cooperate?

Re: paternity issues

1. If you know the parties or the case number, you can contact the reporter who transcribed the proceedings for a copy. These things are expensive - 27 pages cost me $120 yesterday.

2. If you file a court action to determine paternity, the mother's cooperation is not required. The judge will order the testing and should she resist, paternity will not be found against the alleged father.
