I pay child support. Should I be claming that on my taxes?

If you have a divorce decree, it might have specific language regarding who gets the tax deduction for the children. So, you should review your decree to see whether it has such a provision.

Generally the parent with primary custody gets the tax deduction.

I doubt you get to deduct the child. If you deduct the child and you are not entitled to the deduction, you will get audited.
