I am in the process of a divorce. I financed a car in my name for my future exwife. She says she is going to ask to have the car "quick titled" into her name. Will this aleviate me of financial?responsibity of the car?

No. Only the creditor or a bankruptcy judge can relieve you financial responsibility.

If you don't have an attorney, I highly recommend that you meet with an experienced family law attorney.

Yes, the car can be given to her in the divorce. However, you will be obligated to pay the money.

In summary, she could keep the car in the divorce and never pay a penny for it. And YOU get to pay for it. If your name is NOT on the title then you have no right to pick up the car if she does not pay for it.
