Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Protective Order against woman in shelter

I left my abusive husband over three weeks ago with my two year old. He knows where I work and I was just served a protective order, temporary restraining order and divorce papers. The protective order states that I was the abuser rather than my husband. And, that he wants the child back in his custody until our court date. Have you ever seen a case like this before?

Yes. This is what happens when you sit in an abuse center and do nothing. Of course, I admit that I don't know anything about being beaten and intimidated which I'm sure is a factor. You better get your case to a lawyer or you will lose your child. Surely the abuse center has information to help you. Good Luck.
