From where does the current order originate? Are both parties represented by counsel? Generally speaking (in a VERY general sense, as there are exceptions), a foreign order can be registered in Texas and enforced here; but modified only with the consent of the originating court. The courts are careful to control the jurisdiction of a case involving a child, but can only act when the matter is brought to their attention.
