Suggest you contact your local county bar association and explain your situation to them. You are not the first person with these problems. Perhaps there is a legal aid office or clinic in your area.

If you plan to leave, start separating your assets. Open your own bank account if you have not already done so. Make a list of what is yours and what is not. Make a list of items that were given to you or that you inherited.

Can't afford a lawyer. I (and other lawyers) often make a payment plan that can be paid out prior to the final orders. In the meantime, temporary orders are in place to assure child support, custody and visitation and prevention of problems between the parties. So why don't you ask around and see if you find a lawyer. I'm guessing that you would never be able to do this by yourself and free legal services are extremely scarce. Good Luck.
