Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My son was divorced in 2008, and they had 2 daughters. The judge award each parent one a child. The Ex-wife moved away a few months after the divorce to another state. My son stayed in Texas and lives with us and has since 2007. We have had guardianship / custody of her since the divorce. We handle her education, medical and everything else since we are her sole supporters in raising her. He is willing to sign papers giving her to us, her grandparents to rises. My question do I need an attorney to draw up the paperwork or is there a simpler way.

You need to file a petition and go to court. We don't barter children, or make out-of-court agreements about them. What you want to do has to be approved by a judge.
