Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Step Parent Rights
My husband has a son that is 2 years old and I was wondering if something happens to my husband or if he passes away will I be able to see my step son? I know that I dont have rights, however, is there any type of legal action that would be able to give me some type of visitations?

Re: Step Parent Rights
You would need to file an applicaton for adoption of the boy. An adoption would require that the boy's mother, assuming she is living, relinquish her parental rights voluntarily or otherwise. Consult with an attorney.
