Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Visitation

My husband I are divorcing under friendly terms. We both agree the SPO won't work for us because he works shift work and is not off on the weekends. Also, he does not celebrate many holidays and agrees that I should have them during those times. Do we have to put the SPO in the papers or can we write our own.

Re: Visitation

It depends on the Judge.

Many judges will sign non-standard possesion orders if both parties agree to the wording.

Some judges will only sign the wording they prefer.

I hope this information is helpful.

Good luck!
