Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My wife and I are separated, lived in Texas. She moved back to Indiana in March. We plan to divorce and she wants me to sign a waiver so she can file in Indiana. Should I if we agree on terms and its no fault uncontested? Can I still file in Texas if she drags her feet?

In Texas one must live in the State for 6 months before they can file for divorce in Texas...as a Texas Divorce Lawyer I don't know how long that waiting period is in Indiana.

You could still file now in Texas and still finalize through an uncontested divorce. My focus is uncontested divorces and I represent clients across Texas for a flat fee even when there are children and property.

Feel free to contact me for further information.

Good Luck!
