Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

I need advice, my Mom has parkinson's and is extremely trusting of people. She has a neighbor who I have found out is taking advantage of her. My Mom has given this women and her daughter money and, taking them out to eat and driving them around because the women does not have a license or car. I have tried to tell my mom to ignore her, but the lady will call on the phone numerous times and when my mom does not answer she will come over and relentlessly knock on the door. My Mom is 60 and is non-confrontational, I have told this lady to stop harassing my mother but she continues to burden my Mom. (It has recently come to my attention items come up missing when the women's teenage daughter is over...(I have heard that she has a shoplifting charge). What action can I take to make sure this women and her daughter stays away from my Mom? restraining order? file for harassment?

If you truly believe that these people are taking advantage of your mother, then you might want to notify Adult Protective Services and file a report. You should also take this opportunity to get things in order, such as setting up trust accounts, power of attorney, Medicaid planning, etc.
