Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

civial litigation

Someone is suing me and I filed with the county clerks office this morning. (I had 20 days to file and time was running out). I cannot afford an attorney. I asked the clerk what happens next and she said I should know and had access to the law library. What will happen next?

What happens next is that you decide whether you need to win this litigation. If so, then you will get an attorney and if not then you shouldn't have bothered filing an answer. You can contact texasbar.com for assistance finding an attorney willing to offer lower rates for low income clients. Good luck!
