Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

collection

I have a contract that was written by my wife and I and signed by promissor. He has defaulted on it. I understand that collection is deficult in Texas, but I found out that he has ownership of a unoccupied home. Can I put a lein on it or is there some other way to collect from him?

Re: collection

You'll first have to sue him on the note and get it reduced to a judgment. Then you can proceed with attempts to collect.
