Husband and wife power of attorney

If a husband is incompitent and is unable to speak on his own behalf and his wife has full durable medical power of attorney, notarized documents, will the wife in this case be allowed to speak on her husband behalf in a court of law to represent him in a car accident case Pro Se? Wife would need a statutory durable power of attorney to speak for her husband in court. A medical power of attorney is only good for medical decisions, not business decisions.
