Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Four months ago I took over payments on a vehicle form someone that is still paying on the vehicle. The agreement was I would make the payments and insurance payments while the vehicle was in there name and they would sign over the title when vehicle was paid off. Now four months later they are trying to take the vehicle back. I have already tried to take over the loan in my name but i was declined due to bad credit. What legal rights do I have? What legal steps can I take?

Sue him. Ask for an equitable lien on the car. Ask for a restraining order to prevent him from taking the car.
