Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Power of Attorney Liabilities

If I am my mother's POA on all of her accounts and I am sued for something (say killing someone for drunk driving) can her assets be attached by a court for my problems? She wants me to have an ''umbrella policy'' just to cover her assets.
