Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Who is responsible for a stolen car crashing into my house?

Some time in November 2007, a stolen 2005 car being chased by the police crashed into my house causing huge damage. My insurance covers part of the depreciated value of the repair. However, I have to pay the uncovered part including the deductable & give rental discount to the tenant in that unit. Also, the unit above the one affected could not be rented because of the cracks in the wall. Its about 2 months since the accident; the insurance is yet to pay what they say they will pay.

I have the Police report with the information of the car (Make, Model, VIN, License) & the drivcer that stole the car. No insurance info was given. Whom should I go after for the losses I am sustaining?

You need to visit a lawyer...and if the amount for repair is less than 10k you may collect thru small claims court
